Why are less vitamins and minerals added to Alpro Soya Growing Up drink 1-3+ compared to other growing drinks?

Alpro has changed its recipe for the Alpro Soya Growing Up drink 1-3+ following a scientific review of the EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) on the composition of follow-on formulas. Certain key nutrients like vitamin D, iron and iodine are now added according to the recommendations for young children. All other nutrients should come from eating a varied, balanced diet and therefore there is no scientific evidence and no need to provide all the nutrients, vitamins and minerals in growth drinks designed for healthy children.
