Less transport means a reduction in CO2 emissions, and, along with savings in water usage, makes using white beet sugar more environmentally friendly.
Also there is no nutritional advantages in using cane sugar. While analyses have shown very small differences in certain minerals, these are so small they’re unlikely to have an impact on our daily intake of these minerals.
