Chai latte

Fly to India and back with aromatic Chai Latte made with Alpro Soya Original Drink

1L Alpro Soya Original Drink

10 whole green cardamom pods, lightly crushed

5 whole cloves

4 whole black peppercorns

2 cinnamon sticks

5cm fresh ginger, sliced

1 vanilla pod, split lengthwise and scraped

2 tbsp honey

3 black tea bags

1. Pour 850ml Alpro Original into a small saucepan and add cardamom, cloves, black peppercorns, cinnamon, sliced ginger, vanilla pod and the vanilla seeds. On a medium heat, simmer until the mixture becomes aromatic, about 15 minutes. Whisk in the honey and drop the tea bags in the pan and let simmer for 3 minutes.
2 Pour the remaining 150ml Alpro Soya Original Drink into another small saucepan and bring to the boil. Whisk until you get enough foam.
3. Strain the tea mixture into a mug using a fine mesh strainer filling the cup two thirds of the way to the top.
4. Add the foamed Alpro Original to the hot tea, filling the cup to the top. Serve to with a pinch of cinnamon powder or ground black pepper. Be swept away to India and back!
