Milchreis mit Fruchtkompott

Zutaten

Milchreis:

  • 100g Milchreis
  • 1l Alpro Mandeldrink ohne Zucker
  • 2TL Mandelextrakt (oder Bittermandel Aroma)
  • 100ml Alpro Soja-Joghurtalternative Natur ohne Zucker

Fruchtkompott:

  • 200g tiefgefrorene, gemischte Beeren
  • Schale und Saft von einer Orange
  • 2EL Ahornsirup

Vorbereitung

  5. To make the fruit compote: With frozen fruit: Pop all the compote ingredients into a saucepan and cook on medium, stirring until it thickens up and you have a lovely, glossy, jammy sauce. With fresh fruit, roughly blitz the fruit in a blender or with a hand-held wand. Then heat it with the maple syrup, arrowroot, orange zest and juice, stirring until it’s thick and glossy.

=B1A golden and delicious dessert, made with Alpro Original Soya Drink + Alpro More Fruit No Added Sugars Mango plant-based alternative to yogurt
"250g wholemeal or white bread, crusts cut off
50g dairy free spread
4 eggs, beaten
250ml Alpro Original Soya drink
200ml Alpro More Fruit No Added Sugars Mango plant-based alternative to yogurt
2 tsp vanilla extract
60g soft, ready to eat dried apricots, snipped into pieces
60g dried cherries
60g soft, ready to eat dried figs, snipped into pieces
1 large orange, zest & juice mixed
25g light golden brown sugar"
"1. Get prepped. Start by pre-heating your oven to 180º/170ºc fan/gas 4 and grease the base and sides of a 23 x 23 x 6cm ovenproof dish. Find a ‘bain marie’ – any dish or tray that will hold water deep enough to come halfway up the sides of your baking dish. (This is the way to cook the egg mixture gently.) Slice the bread if you need to and cut the crusts off before weighing it, and you’re ready to go.
2. Spread the bread slices with the spread and cut each one diagonally to make two triangles. Mix the eggs, soya drink, plant-based alternative to yogurt and vanilla extract together in a jug.
3. Now put it all together. Line the bottom of your dish with a single layer of bread triangles and scatter with three quarters of the fruit. Pour the orange juice and zest over the whole lot. Arrange another layer of triangles over the top and sprinkle with the remaining fruit.
4. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the top, making sure that all the bread is well soaked, and sprinkle the sugar over top. Put the dish in the ‘bain marie’ and cook in the oven for 30 minutes or until the top turns golden brown. Serve it hot with Alpro custard or cold with some extra plant-based alternative to yogurt – just as scrumptious either way!"
