Almond Latte Macchiato

A simple yet satisfying plant-based recipe, combining great taste with effortless preparation.

Ingredients

  • 800 ml Alpro Barista Almond Drink
  • 4 espressos or strong coffees

Preparation

  1. Make four espresso shots, or four small cups of good strong coffee.
  2. Gently heat the Alpro Barista Almond Drink (careful not to boil!), stirring constantly.
  3. Whisk until it forms a light and frothy foam, just like it was designed to do
  4. Divide the whipped Alpro Barista Almond Drink between four glasses and slowly, slowly pour over the espresso or coffee, taking care to keep those lovely layers in place. A stylish way to spark up your day, or serve it with an elegant little biscuit when it’s time for a mid-morning pick me up.

An easy, crowd-pleasing cake made with versatile Alpro Soya Drink

"250g self-raising flour
70g vanilla sugar
190ml Alpro Soya Drink 
75ml sunflower/olive oil
40ml boiling water
1 vanilla pod or 1 tsp vanilla essence
3 tbsp flaked almonds
pinch of salt"

"1. A one-step cake that a breeze to make, tra-la! Preheat your oven to 180°C and oil an 8"" cake tin. 
2. In a mixing bowl, stir together the self-raising flour, vanilla sugar, seeds of the vanilla pod (or essence) and a pinch of salt. Add the Alpro Soya Drink, sunflower oil and boiling water and whisk the whole lot until smooth.
3. Pour the mixture into your tin, sprinkle over the flaked almonds and bake for 40-45 minutes until a lovely golden brown. Test by piercing with a wooden skewer – when it comes out clean, your cake is ready. 
4. Let the cake to cool. (We know, hard not to dive in straightaway!). Fab with coffee any time, or as a dessert with fresh fruit and a spoonful of Alpro creaminess."
